Eddie Hearn speaks out about the change of coach
The head of the Matchroom Boxing promotion company Eddie Hearn shared his thoughts on Anthony Joshua’s decision to change trainers before his rematch with WBA, WBO and IBF world heavyweight champion Alexander Usik of Ukraine.
“It’s a huge risk, but if you feel you need a change, but you can’t get it without changing your environment, the alternative is even riskier. If Anthony hasn’t made any changes and he’s not happy with the team’s approach, then we don’t need to agree to this rematch.
Joshua remains active and positive, so I have no doubt that the change will be good for him and he will be satisfied. If you look at the situation from the other side, I’m much more relaxed, Anthony needs something new,” said Hearn.
