Janik3Columbia, MO –  A great day for Alabama Wheelchair Basketball. The Tide men followed up a heartbreaking 1 point loss (55-54) to the University of Missouri and rallied to take home 5th place with a 49-39 victory over Edinboro and the Alabama Women advanced to the National Championship game with a 67-40 victory over Whitewater.  The Alabama Men ended up 15-17 overall with a very young team that returns 9 players and are looking forward to a fresh start for this team in 2015-16 season.   Check back for the schedule for next season on this site and the Adapted Athletics Facebook Site.



DQWhitewater, WI – Congratulations to the Alabama Men for winning 3 of 5 games in 24 hours at their second conference tournament this weekend at Whitewater. The Men opened the tournament with a 57-54 win over the University of Illinois. Later in the day the Crimson Tide men dropped tough contests to the University of Missouri 56-32 and Whitewater 49-62. Alabama rallied for two straight wins the next morning against Edinboro 56-30 and Southwest Minn State 48-30.  The Alabama Men are now 7-5 overall and 3-4 in conference.  The Tide is back in action at home on December 5-6 again the Quebec Provincial team and the Lakeshore Storm.  Come out and support your Team!  Roll Tide!


JustinTuscaloosa, AL – The Alabama Men swept both their games at home this weekend against the Auburn Tigers and Lakeshore Storm.  In the first game of the tournament Alabama beat the Lakeshore Storm 55-42 despite standout efforts from Lakeshore stars Jeremy Campbell and Ryan Hynes. In the afternoon the Tide cruised by Auburn 67-22. The Alabama men are now 4-3 on the season and 0-2 in conference. The Tide are next in action on November 21 at Whitewater against the U of Missouri , Whitewater and Illinois. Roll Tide!


JamesArlington, TX - The Alabama Men had a tough road trip for their first conference tournament of the season.  The Tide dropped both games to rival UTA 47-70 and 17-54 on the first day of the tournament.  The next day Alabama lost to a tough Austin team 46-60 but ended the tournament with a win over Oklahoma City 59-26.  Coach Ford Burttram said his young team took some punishment at this tournament but he knows the team will learn from this and get better.  “We learn what we can from the games and turn the page, we are already deep into the film and getting ready to face Auburn this weekend.”  The Alabama Men play their first home games this weekend on Saturday, November 8th with a 9:00 AM game against Lakeshore and a 3 PM game against Auburn.  Come out and cheer for the Crimson Tide!


Janik TiltBirmingham, AL – The Tide Men opened the 2014-15 Season with an impressive win over a strong Lakeshore Team that features Jeremy Campbell and former Alabama Star Ryan Hynes.  The Tide were led in scoring by their new Ausie Freshman tandam Jordan Bartley with 20 Points and Ryan Morich with 17 points respectively.  The Alabama men are back in action at the University of Texas Arlington on October 31.  The games will be webcast and feature live updates on social media.  Tune in and support the Alabama Men.  Roll Tide!


Janik2Tuscaloosa, AL - The Alabama Men Celebrated another great year at the Tuscaloosa Sailing Club on Lake Tuscaloosa this Friday.  The Team Award Winners for the year were: (Iron Man Award – Justin Obermyer) Ford Burttram Captains Award Bo Hedges & Ryan Hynes), (Academic Award Justin Obermyer & Bo Hedges), (Jared Arambula Performance Award Bo Hedges). The Alabama Men had another great season – taking third place at Nationals.   At Nationals the Alabama Men defeated Southwest State 71-33 and Missouri 47-45 and fell to Whitewater 59 -47 to take home third place and finish with a 24-9 record overall. Jannik Blair, and Bo Hedges made the All American Team and Ryan Hynes and Bo Hedges made the Academic All American Team.  Thanks to all the Athletes, Coaches, Fans and Volunteers for a Great Season!
